Discover Our Journey

We started Made in Casita as a passion project, a way for us to share our love for home decor and all things DIY. Back then, we were building, painting, styling, and figuring things out one project at a time. The “Made” in our name is a nod to those hands-on beginnings, rooted in creativity, care, and craftsmanship.

As we grew, so did our skills. We earned our Interior Design Certificates from the New York Art Institute of Design, joined a flipping firm focused on giving homes a second life, and immersed ourselves in the world of renovations and construction. Through it all, we knew we wanted a name that still felt like us, warm, soulful and deeply connected to our latin roots.

“Casita” meaning “little house” in Spanish, felt like the perfect fit. It’s a tribute to our Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage, and a reminder that home isn’t just a place. It’s a feeling: cozy, loved, and made with heart.

That’s what we do, that’s what we’re about.

Meet the team

Hey there! We’re Erica & Marian, sisters-in-law, creative partners, and the duo behind Made in Casita. What started as a shared love for interior decorating, design, and all things DIY has grown into a passion-fueled Latina-owned family business.

We’re lucky to have husbands who never shy away from our wildest ideas, always ready with power tools in hand and full support in tow. Around here, it’s a full family affair, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

At Made in Casita, we believe everyone has something unique to share, and our mission is to bring that to life in your home. Whether it’s a custom corner or a full renovation, we create spaces that feel personal, inviting, and a true reflection of your story.
