Ideas for Celebrating Valentine’s Day at Home!

It’s that time of the year again! Red roses, heart-shaped chocolate boxes, romantic cards and the typical romantic dinner for two. Yep, you guessed right, Valentine’s Day!

If you are like many of us, post-holiday broke with no time on our hands, followed around by a little army of Tasmanian devils, or if you’re just looking to do something different, then you came to the right place!

Our favorite way to enjoy Valentine’s day is with a stay at home dinner. What we like about this is you can adapt it to your situation. Whether you’re single, coupled up, or a party of 6, we are sure you will find the perfect option!

Party of two?

Make your home that 5-star restaurant and prepare an easy home-cooked meal complete with dessert and bubbly! Dress up and put to use that outfit you bought years ago and just haven’t found an occasion to wear. (Ahem- here’s to you, too-short, age-inappropriate red dress!)

Single?

Get with your girls for a brunch or dinner and cook a meal together while you sip on wine and have a galantine celebration!  Looking for great recipes to try? How about a raspberry marble cobble, roasted strawberries pavlova, brown butter strawberry muffins, or mango glazed Alaska salmon? These are just a few of the amazing recipes you can find, by our friend Melissa over at Hungry Food Love!

Got kids?

Involve the kiddos and have them serve you for a change (it will be a fun experience and they’ll get to play restaurant). Don’t feel like cooking? Then don’t! Order take out and eat it at home!

Any of the above?

Have a movie night! Play your favorite romcoms, add some popcorn, chocolate, pizza and of course some wine.

Now go on, put up some cute V-day décor, and get settled for some cozy time in and enjoy the company of the ones you love!

We hope your Valentine’s day celebration will be full of fun!
